    The other day while watching television with my granddaughters, of course Sponge Bob cartoons, (is it something else to watch?) I realized that the way that good and evil are represented hasn’t changed much since my childhood. This particular episode had Sponge Bob debating whether to get back at someone or not. Like magic, a little angel and a little devil appear on each of his shoulders and then the fighting began.   Here, in the right shoulder, the angel of good, halo, wings, the whole nine yards, whispering in Sponge Bob’s ear "do not do it, to err is human to forgive divine”, and if you succumb to temptation you will go to hell" Here, in the left shoulder, the little devil, of course red attire, horns, pitch fork and the works, whispering in Sponge Bob’s other ear, "do it, go for it, its pay back time, you wont go to hell, but you are going to give him hell. --Look little devil, said the little angel, stop giving him bad advise, you wont be there when h...

E l otro día mirando la televisión con mis nietas, por supuesto los muñequitos de Sponge Bob, ( hay algo mas que ver en la televisión?) me di cuenta que la forma de representar el bien y el mal no ha cambiado mucho desde que yo era niña. Sponge Bob quería hacer algo vengativo y como por arte de magia se le aparecen dos muñequitos, uno en cada esquina de los hombros y fue cuando el match de boxeo empezó. --- Aquí, en el hombro derecho, el angelito del bien, vestidito de blanco, con carita de yo no fui, sedosas alitas . Cabecita de rubios y ensortijados rizos... y la aerola de niño bueno, susurrándole al oído “no lo hagas que vengarse no es bueno, y si sucumbes a la tentación iras al infierno” Aquí, en el hombro izquierdo, el diablito, por supuesto vertido de rojo, con sus tarritos en la cabeza y la sonrisa maliciosa y sarcástica, incitándolo “si hazlo, es mentira que iras al infierno, lo que si sentirás es una satisfacción tan grande que no se compara con nada...
